PLUSH. Aromas of violets, dark cherry, red plum & wood spice. The palette is rich and finely structured with ripe red fruits pinging about. Approachable for a young wine but with plenty of potential for ageing.

Sappy, succulent, red fruited, spicy, a touch gravelly, some earthiness, liquorice and aniseed seasoning, a suggestion of woodiness in clove and cardamom. The perfume and flavours are kindred. It slips along nicely in the palate, shy of medium weight, cosseted in a slick of graphite-laced tannin, stains the mouth gently and exits on those woody spices and a sprinkle of crushed rock. Even, balanced, refined, lovely. - Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
